This past weekend was another eventful weekend of firsts for us. Friday night, we headed to Shrek the Musical. It was Corey's first broadway and my first time seeing Shrek. It was awesome, really. The show was creative in how it presented the fairy tale characters and the music was great, including all of the tap routines. Great family show.
Saturday, we headed to KMart to buy a few things. Corey and lI aughed that we'd never been so excited to go to K-Mart before. It's the only box store in regular Manhattan and it showed. It was full of people. It was nice to see prices slightly cheaper... only slightly but still nice. We then headed up to the Met for the first time ever. With Corey's work pass, we get into most museums on the island for free, so we are definitely taking advantage. After about 45 minutes, we'd only seen one or two exhibit areas of the huge museum (Corey wanted to read every single stinkin plaque.). Corey loves history, so he was a little giddy as we walked through, especially in the battle scene/armor/sword section. We decided we'd have to return later and headed to dinner. OurPlace...I'd recommend it. Cute little Chinese place near the Met. Afterwards, we headed to Terminator and called it a night.
Another good weekend in Manhattan.

The pic below was Lord Faquaad. You can't even tell, but the actor is actually in black on his knees. This is how they made him look so short. Look at how short he is compared to the knights surrounding him. It was hilarious to see the character with such small legs and impressive that the actor could dance on his knees all night.
