This past weekend, Corey and I took a $20, 4 hour busride to Washington DC. (The buses here are great! Wifi, leather seats, and electrical outlets) Corey had never been and I wanted to head back so we left Friday night for our quick getaway. We had to leave again on Sunday early evening, so we didn't have too much time. Looking back on it, we definitely saw more than we expected to see in 48 hours. In two days, we were able to hit Library of Congress, Capital, 3 Smithsonians, National Archives, random trip to ESPN zone, Old Post Office, WhiteHouse, Lincoln, Korean, WWII, Vietnam, and Washington Monuments, and Arlington. Whew, it was a fast weekend but a good one.

In front of the WhiteHouse. The guy taking our picture got more of us than the actual building, but hey, it works.

One of Corey's favorite places - the American Wars exhibit in the National American History Smithsonian. The exhibit walks through all America's history in relation to the wars they fought. After two hours, I realized Corey had only made it to the Civil War... hmm, we had to hurry him along :) He's standing, in this pic, in front of George Washington's sword.

Sweet weekend trip! And I must say you did pack in a lot. My fav was the Lincoln Memorial as well, but I'm bias since my Lincoln was named after him. And those cupcakes look DELICOUS!!!
Looks like you guys are having a great time! We'll miss you at condo next week!
