Spring Weather

It's starting to warm up here in D.C.!  I don't know what it is about the weather but my days are so much better when it's warm.  Kelsey, too. In fact, we have a meltdown every day when we walk outside and we DON'T walk to the park. She even eyes the park players as I buckle her seatbelt, longing to be there.  Her third word is "slide" or "Ssssss" as she likes to say it.  (Her first word was Hurray, how random is that?)  Here are some random pics of the past month.
Kelsey's new friend, Braddock.  Kelsey has major scared-of-people problems and it includes most kids.  For some reason, she warmed up to her new little friend fast and insisted to hold his hand at the zoo.

Her first Popsicle after a warm day.  Thank you slow-melt minis!  They don't go everywhere like most Popsicles. and Kelsey loves them.

I've been trying to figure out why Corey has become the favorite parent lately.  The other day, I came into this Spite-drinking party... I think I found my answer.

I was having a bad day and Miss Kelsey and her dad came home with cute spring tulips.  She was very proud of them.

The ONLY picture we have of the cherry blossom festival and parade.  It was a cold day and Kelsey was not having it.  The trees are starting to bloom all over Virginia and DC and it truly is breathtaking.

My first experience with Georgetown Cupcake.  We ordered them in for a baby shower.  I did all I could not to eat the 24 cupcakes at my house all day prior to the shower.  There is a reason why these babies are trendy; they are delish!

Last but not least, if you are still reading, I thought I'd share my mouse update.  Thanks for all of the concerned calls and texts from my last post.  We sprayed for roaches a few weeks ago, which is why I think we were seeing them frequently.  However, since my post, I have yet to see any more.  I also think the warm weather is helping the mouse problem.  We have one in our kitchen that we've been trying to catch but other than that, our insect/mouse highway hasn't had near the traffic.  In the meantime, we talked our landlords into buying a premiere pest control service so I can get someone out here for any bug, any time.  Here's hoping for a better spring.

Completely random, but I think we may have the same shirt. I was looking at your pictures from Kelsey's birthday and your shirt looks just like one I have. Excellent taste in clothing my friend. :)
And may I just say how glad I am that your mice problem has gone away. That is SUPER gross!
